The 360/Vanguard (V360) is a delegation of 20 decision makers from government, media, and industry, designed to provide a safe environment to build common understanding and collective action around pivotal issues like information security, digital policy, and elections integrity, among others. Our aim is to build upon the success of the previous V360 delegation chaired in June 2018 by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright and former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, and move from talk to action by providing a platform for the delegation to shape concrete strategy and real-time measures that bolster and defend open and free democracy.

On October 6th from 12:00 – 4:00pm ET, we are gathering the V360 delegation around a conversation, Securing the Information Space: US Elections and World’s Lessons Learned, to develop diplomatic and democratic solutions to disinformation which intends to disrupt electoral contests. Attendees will have the opportunity to contextualize mis- and disinformation within contemporary global crises, to distill analyses, and share global perspectives that can be operationalized to secure the electoral process ahead of November.

The V360 will meet again in December, concurrent with 360/StratCom, for a post-US election briefing on the efficacy of proposed policy solutions. By transforming the delegation’s expertise into a sustainable path forward on internet regulation and content moderation, we hope to contribute to a scalable, long-term solution to mis- and disinformation.
